Areas of Practice
The ideal candidate will have experience or strong interest in one or more of the following areas:
- Special Needs Estate Planning, including Special Needs Trusts & Wills
- Special Needs Life Care Planning
- Real Estate Law
- Appellate Practice
- Social Security & Disability
- ERISA
- Administrative Law
- Legal Research & Brief Writing
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and grow your own caseload with mentorship and oversight from senior attorneys
- Draft and review legal documents, including motions, briefs, contracts, estate plans, and correspondence
- Conduct in depth legal research and analysis
- Represent clients in court hearings, administrative proceedings, and depositions
- Advise clients on estate planning strategies, including special needs and long-term planning
- Communicate effectively with clients, opposing counsel, court personnel, and team members
Qualifications
- Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school
- Licensed and in good standing with the Alabama Bar
- 1–3+ years of legal experience preferred (but strong candidates with relevant interest will be considered)
- Strong legal writing, research, and advocacy skills
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively
- Commitment to ethical practice and exceptional client service
